Goal: This study analyzes the impacts of transportation sector on air pollution within scope one major Brazilian metropolitan region. Design/Methodology/Approach: A literature review was conducted subject's constructs, with subsequent reasoning grounded fleet's characteristics and data obtained from in-depth interviews a government agency. Results: The results show Brazil's contextual evidence that risk management for haulage should consider pollution's negative impacts. With quality standards as an essential reference, it is possible to observe city Uberlândia does not effectively manage quality. Limitations investigation: One limitation this research related representativeness sample. also recommends future studies use policies improvement framework. Practical implications: local addressing transport correlation in focal point cargo at national level pontentially contributes environmental public policies.
